『交換日記』是一個工作坊後延伸鼓勵持續創作的藝術計劃。今年已是第三屆。2009-2010年度參加者有本計劃青年 Vs 小朋友及杭州 Vs 香港兩地青年朋友。

自2009年8月開始，兩隊支隊的參加者經驗了由各自的藝術語言創作『郵寄日記』交流彼此生活逸事、感想，透過郵寄獨有的溝通過程、閱讀非尋常圈子的創作風格，重拾、察見創作和生活上多樣式的可能性，堅持個人創作自信之時，體會關心身邊轉變莫測的人、事、物(城市)。

是次展覽將以『郵寄文化』為展覽樣貌及作品呈現手法上的骨幹。參展青年(杭州青年除外)和小朋友重新整合梳理交流過程中的感覺及郵寄作品(有sketch book 及自訂郵件)，然後藉以郵寄文化的符號/象徵物轉載為作品，期望重燃大家對『我手寫我心的傳意情懷』及『郵寄文化』的愛好及體會。

應用及媒體藝術文學士二零一零學生作品年展以「角° || Jiao°」為題，「Jiao」是「角」的國語拼音，我們透過一個不同的拼音系統來表達「角度」這個意念，藉以啟發人們以多角度觀察事物和思考。為配合是次主題，我們特意設計了多個不同的「角」字，讓公眾可從不同角度觀察字體的變化，及由此產生不同的聯想。

我們每人都有自己認同的一套文化和信仰，物質固有的本義是難以被其他事物取締。透過這課程，我們學會從設計者的觀感出發，以主觀及客觀的角度去界定及分析問題，從而提供最佳的解決方案來迎合使用者的需求。

這課程令我們明白到設計的深層意義，就是將個人的主觀思維結合大眾的客觀觀感，再從客觀的分析演化至主觀的設計解決方案。設計的誕生在於解決問題，作為設計師，我們的角色正是發掘問題的根源，從不同角度觀察，配合多向性的思維方式找出解決問題的最佳方案。

俗語說：「太陽底下無新事」，但這並不代表所有事物均一成不變，要打造出成功的設計方案，關鍵在於我們如何闡釋問題，以及能否從不同角度，將設計意念轉化成公眾明白的視覺語言。

Jiao°, pinyin of the word “perspective” in Mandarin, captures the main theme of the Bachelor of Arts in Applied and Media Arts Annual Exhibition of Students’ Work 2010. A different transcription system is used to present the concept of “different perspectives” - to inspire people to learn, to observe and to think through taking different points of view.

To tie in with the theme, a special graphic design has been applied to the word “Jiao” in Chinese character
allowing people to perceive the character in different angles and showing different images according to their own interpretations.

As everyone is attached to his/her own culture and beliefs, the essence of materials may not be retouched because of their nature of existence. What we have learnt from the programme is that, as a designer, we should have critical thinking and analytical ability in both subjective and objective ways to address the needs of the users.

The programme also enables students to better understand the process of design from subjective individual ideas to objective public acceptance, and how both interact with designer’s personal style and point of view.

The Cantonese saying goes, “There is nothing new under the sun”. The crux of working out a design solution is how we could engage our creativity to perceive the issues and transform ideas into visual images, again, with different perspectives.

Collection Market 展示了八位來自突破機構設計組的同工：鍾冠峰、何小玲、高葆玲、劉碧雲、利慧敏、譚淑美、黃婉嫻、嚴文諾對生活的收集。在這裏，有他們喜愛畫家的作品、過去的回憶、對環保生活的演繹、父親對家的關愛⋯⋯透過這些收集，了解我們的收集喜好和創作特質，也藉此喚起大家從身邊微小處發現生活的趣味。

常為客戶作嫁衣裳的我們，也尋求突破和創作空間，誠邀你參與並分享我們收集過程中的小快樂。

2010年的「伙炭藝術工作室開放計劃」於1月16-17日及23-24日連續兩個週末假火炭工業區舉行。是次信和集團「香港藝術」連續第四年作為活動的主要贊助商。為了隆重其事，「香港藝術」聯同「伙炭」合辦特備展覽「如果你停泊在這裡」，由富有經驗的視覺藝術家、藝術學院講師與策展人鄧凝姿博士率領八位本地藝術家參與創作，讓觀眾從多角度經歷一次精彩難忘的藝術旅程。

「如果你停泊在這裡」是一個綜合多種創作媒介的藝術展覽，展出八位藝術家的作品，擁有各具特色的藝術元素，其中涉及能與現場溝通的特定場域創作。是次展覽以場地主體，作品為寄生物的短暫關係，試圖找出權力的動態和共生的條件。

「如果你停泊在這裡」，邀請所有人暫時停留一會，彼此思索各人認為重要的問題。

《Kai玩笑──火炭社區藝術尋歡樂》

MJ皮影戲、西西《縫熊誌》熊展、詩人陳滅及藝術家梁美萍講座、買手及貿易公司手袋展、畫作雕塑錄像藝術...... 《文化地圖》推動社區創意工業，希望開創空間給大家認真思考藝術跟文化如何活化社區。「Kai玩笑」旨在發動火炭的社區藝術，將新舊商戶，城市生活等創意泉源透過藝術活動及展覽跟大眾交流。「Kai玩笑」讓一眾沒有工作室的藝術家 (不論專業或業餘的，當然也包括視覺藝術學生) 能夠將作品展現於人前，甚至讓作品得到出售的機會；讓大眾有不同程度的參與之餘又樂在其中，甚至將創意藝術帶回家。「Kai玩笑」藝術展笑聲活動如下︰

熊熊「列」火

本地著名作家西西女士的手縫熊，不只是teddy art，更身穿著中國各個朝代或中國小說的衣飾，實在是中史與藝術的結合﹗同場更有傷健藝術家Sonny 示範並教授如何做親手一針一線縫製的手縫熊以及出售西西女士的最新著作《縫熊志》。

手袋遊街去

火炭是著名的進口和出口貿易中心。因此，我們通過展示一個在火炭工作6年的手袋買手的現實經驗誰在，重現這個社區的歷史。該區的工廠及進出口貿易公司也將獲邀參與展出裝載著火炭歷史的手袋。

我們致力支持年青一代原創的藝術品，同時亦想延續展覽的意義，讓參觀者把創意帶回家。於是，一個既有錄像藝術、各式畫作及雕塑，又得到老中青藝術家支持，展出並出售琳琅滿目的藝術品的Art Fair 便誕生了﹗

「Kai玩笑」講座
由梁美萍博士、陳滅先生及其他講者主持的「Kai玩笑」講座，輕輕鬆鬆探討文化。同場加插皮影戲專家黃輝與浸會大學李玉山同學創造的 MJ 皮影戲，還分享兩師徒互動的創作過程，實行開拓藝術新領域 !

《文化地圖》簡介： 

一群來自香港不同創意界別的藝術愛好者，希望定位於香港，一同把香港以至珠江三角洲的視覺藝術與文化資訊透過摺頁式地圖式的免費月刊《CULTaMAP文化地圖》與網上版《Cultamap.com》傳遞給公眾。要推廣給讀者的，不只是定期文化節目，還要通過多元的訪問、報導與舉辦展覽，喚起大眾對藝術文化的關注，加深社會對多元文化的理解。組織成員包括大學與中學教師、專業攝影師、記者、藝評人、產品設計師等。每月出版25,000份，在393個地點派發。

"Lost Connection"

About Exhibition:

Entering the exhibition space, you see young girls living in worlds of their own through windows in form of mounted frames. They are alone and trapped, floating on a textured surface like a never-ending space. The background gives us no suggestions on their actual surroundings. They seem immobile and uncommunicative. The face of the subject is either blacken or hidden. Their identity is undistinguished. She might bear some resemblance to someone you know.  Perhaps you could see yourself in them. 

People are in constant need of contact. Connections. However, most of us are too scared to reach out – in case we get hurt. I am the only real friend I could ever have, the only one I will never loose. I step forward, and the tip of my nose feels the cold in the mirror and I fall.

We are all alone.

這些如窗戶般的框架裡住了些人。她們受困於寂寞，飄浮於既定的表面，彷彿沒有盡處的空間。畫面的背景令人無法確定女子的所在之處，她們看似毫無活動和溝通的能力。主題疑貶疑隱，她們的身份依照混淆，可能有你有我有她有她。

人總需要連繫。然而，人卻怕了向前踏出一步。我，是自己唯一永遠不會失去的朋友。我鼻尖碰著倒映的我，淒冷異常；我終倒下。

除非你是我，不然我們都寂寞。

About artists:

Casper Chan Hiu Kwan (b.1984) was born and raised in Hong Kong. She spent 5 years in England before returning to Hong Kong, where she obtained her first degree in Fine Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She fell in love with figure drawing when she was as a kid and refuses to draw anything else. The challenges in life provide inspiration for her works.  Chan won several awards during her degree course, including the Gaylord chan Painting Award, Cheung’s Creative Award and the Lui Lup-Fun Creative Award. Chan is now working as a part time art teacher and a freelance illustrator.

陳曉筠，生長於香港。曾生活於英國五年，後回港並完成香港中文大學藝術系學士課程。陳如小孩子般固執，只愛繪畫人物，不喜歡畫其他事物。作品全由生活中的挑戰而衍生。陳在大學時期獲得數個獎項，包括陳餘生西畫獎、張氏創作獎及呂立勛創作獎。陳現正兼職藝術教師及自由插畫家。

"Alienated Urban Landscape" 10 Jan - 28 Feb 2010

About the exhibition:

Seven artists from or based in Hong Kong explore the ‘city’ we live in through different media: drawing, photography, collage, painting and sculpture.

So Hing Keung, one of Hong’s best renowned photographers depicts urban landscape as stuff from nightmares. Old landmarks perplexingly disappear, giving way to new development. Reality solidifies only for a moment, and before it can be fully grasped, dissolves. The agony of Hong Kong’s streetscape is that it must continuously kill itself – and estrange itself from the people – in order to live. Charles expresses his ideas on how we relate as physical human beings to the buildings that surround us. He made it his own personal project to photograph and sketch every building he entered in the last 10 years.

Bob Davies, a press photographer who used to run his own agency in Hong Kong in the 70’s dug out an old collection of photographs developed from films that were lost for over a decade and almost decayed from this travels in China in the 80’s. Although taken in a near past, its alienated images depict a very different China then how we know it today.

Lo Kwan Chi’s angle is from a Chinese ink painter perspective and he depicts the streets, empty, deserted, de-humanized as a pure idea of a ‘street’ derived from the pure idea of a mountain.

Sebastian Pascot created a sculpture out of debris, discarded by city dwellers and brings to our attention our consumerist behavior.

Halley Cheng’s watercolors from an urban landscape make us look at the city, alienated from green and nature, replaced by urban elements.

Christophe Demaitre, a Belgian artist based in Shanghai develops his images on canvas or discarded objects. He catches those fleeting moments and turns them into alienated and timeless black and white images.
