戲劇大師班﹕Commedia (comedy) dell' Arte Masterclass
Commedia (comedy) dell' Arte Masterclass (Conducted in English)
Instructor: Enrico BONAVERA
This Commedia dell’Arte Masterclass consists of five 4-hour sessions designed for anyone with a professional interest in theatre to interact and share with our expert from Italy, Enrico Bonavera. The workshops will draw upon Enrico Bonavera’s over 20 years experience in theatre both as actor and educator.
The five-session Masterclass will lead up to a demonstration for participants to showcase what they have learned in the workshops. The Masterclass also provides opportunities to those who only join as observers. Observers will be sitting in sessions without active participation. Five-day observers will be able to follow the progress of the Masterclass, and witness the demonstration by active participants at the end of the five sessions.
The Commedia dell’ Arte was born in Italy in the 16th century and lasted until the end of the 18th century. During three centuries, it has become the most successful form of popular performance. It came to life again in Europe in the early 20th century and its myth gave birth to a number of important theatre movements and inspired the creations and pedagogic methods of many famous theatre artists including Meyerhold, Copeau, Dullin, Strehler, Besson and Mnouckhine. In these workshops, we will explore the secret of this incredible sustained success of Commedia dell’ Arte.
